The Yi Lit Fest 2024, a vibrant celebration of creativity and the power of words! This year, we invite students from schools and colleges to come together and immerse in a kaleidoscope of literary experiences.
This is a platform for budding writers and poets to showcase their talent, express their thoughts, and captivate the audience with their words.
Terms:
The copyrights to the submitted stories will belong to Young Indians organization. Any royalties on the sale of books will not be shared with the contributing participants.
Each participant will write a short story in around 2000 – 3000 words. Your story should include any of the following Nation building concepts:
- Health & Wellness
- Road Safety
- Personal Safety
- Innovation
- Entrepreneurship
- Nature & Climate Change
- People & Accessibility
- Sports
- Leadership
- Nation Building with Rural

Step 2 – Workshop & Masterclass
Date: May 2024
Mode: Online (Virtual)
Participants can enhance their literary skills through engaging workshops on writing, poetry, storytelling, and more. Learn from experts, hone your craft, and unlock your creative potential.
Step 3 – Submit Your Story
Deadline: June 15, 2024 (Saturday)
Put your literary skills to the test and participate in exciting writing opportunity. Show off your storytelling prowess, and stand a chance to get recognition and be featured in our book.
Requirements
Your short story should be in around 3000 words, and should include any of the Nation building concepts mentioned above.
Step 4 – Qualifier Round
Date: July 31, 2024
The shortlisted participants enter the Qualifier round. They will work closely with the editorial team and polish their work. Only the stories that get accepted by the publisher will make it to the final book.
